About me
I am a native speaker of Czech with a great passion for language and other cultures. That is the reason why I moved to the UK for my university studies. I spent three years at the University of Birmingham where I received a B.A. in International Studies with Economics. During these 3 years I gained experience as an agency interpreter for hospitals, governmental authorities, courts, etc. Apart from interpreting, I got involved in the university marketing and promotional campaigns/activities and worked in gastronomy and sales industry.
After graduating in the UK, I spent three years in Sweden where I completed an MSc. in Economics and Business in Uppsala University. During my studies I worked in the business-economical section of the Czech Embassy in Sweden and my main task was to translate tenders from Swedish institutions and briefings from Swedish ministries for the Czech government. I also worked along with the Student Union and its programme “International Buddy” to help ensure that international students coming to Sweden from abroad would feel at home in the new country.
After finishing my studies, I returned to the Czech Republic where I worked as an audit assistant in the international consulting enterprise Deloitte which gave me an in-depth knowledge of accounting. Two years later I moved on to a position of a controlling and reporting specialist in Luxembourg-Indian owned company ArcelorMittal where I was responsible for various financial analyses.
Most recently I have passed the highest level of Cambridge English qualification: Proficiency - CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English).
If you wish to learn more about my experience, I will be pleased to send you my detailed CV.
